What is LEAD STATUS?

Changing the status of a customer is an essential part of your Day-in-the-Life in Dealerpeak. The Status of a Lead determines what follow up emails and tasks are generated for you.
 

The Defaulted status that every lead originates in is, "Active / New Lead": 

  • For Showroom and Phone leads, you should choose your first status after you finish speaking with the customer 
  • For Internet/Third Party leads, you should choose the status after you attempt to contact the customer. Once contact is made with the customer, you will want to choose a more current status that corresponds to their purchase time frame.
