How to Add a Lead Source

This doc will demonstrate how to properly manually add a new lead source into the CRM; for example, if you wanted to create a new source for all customers that learned of the dealership from a local billboard, you might create a new source called "Billboard Lead". 

Step-by-step guide:

  1. From the DealerPeak Dashboard, hover your mouse over the Marketing tab and go to Lead Sources.


  2. The click the green button labeled + New Lead Source. This will open up an additional window in which you can indicate the name of the new source, as well as make it reportable and specify which locations you'll want to add it to (if the dealer group has more than one location). Once you include all of this information, click the blue button with the text Save Lead Source at the bottom of the window.

  3. If by any chance you forget to add the new source to a specific location, it will not populate in the drop down menu with the other lead sources. If you have to go back and add a location, you'll want to find the newly added source in the list and check the Edit box to the right of it, and then add the source to the appropriate locations.
