What does it mean to Chrome Match?
Chrome matching is the process of selecting the exact trim/style of a vehicle in the instance that Chrome Data was not able to infer that information from the VIN number.
For example, VIN number 3N1AB61E49L670844 is a 2009 Nissan Sentra. Chrome data is able to conclude that the vehicle is a 2009 Nissan Sentra, however, it is not able to determine the exact trim level and transmission for that vehicle. That is where YOU come in!
You will need to select the exact trim level of the 2009 Nissan Sentra. Once you select the transmission and trim level Chrome Data will now populate standard options, MPG figures, and stock photos. (amongst other pieces of information your customers will appreciate). Remember, if you subscribe for residuals or incentives in the desking tool Chrome Matching is a MUST!
