What is a 'Bad Email'?

If you hover your mouse on the red ‘Bad Email!’ text, it will display the reason it failed. In this case it failed on 7/24/2014 when we sent out a test to make sure the email address is valid and able to accept messages. If an email host responds with the message that the ‘inbox is full’ that doesn’t mean that the address is permanently BAD, it just means that on that date we saw that the email address was not able to receive mail. We leave the bad email flag up so that you can see, at one point, that the email did not respond to our request.

Some common reasons an email could get flagged as bad are:

• Inbox Full – Exceed Storage Allocation

• Bad Destination - Email Address Doesn’t Exist

• No Answer From Host

If you wish to remove the visual “bad email” indicator, you can do so by clicking ‘edit primary contact’. Just delete the email, update the account, then re-add the email.
